Rozgar Mela Scheduled for 24th October 2025 at 11:00 AM
India’s youth continue to demonstrate remarkable talent and innovation across diverse fields such as technology, education, defence, sports, and skill development. Recognising their pivotal contribution to the nation’s progress, the Hon’ble Prime Minister launched the Rozgar Mela initiative on 22 October 2022.
The Rozgar Mela reflects Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s strong focus on creating employment opportunities. Recruitment drives are being conducted in mission mode across various Ministries, Departments, and Organisations under the Central Government and Union Territories. These Rozgar Melas aim to accelerate job creation and empower the youth by providing them with meaningful career opportunities that contribute to nation-building.
The 17th Rozgar Mela will take place at 40 locations across India on 24th October 2025 at 11:00 AM, during which more than 51,000 appointment letters will be distributed to newly selected candidates. The recruits will join different Central Government departments and organisations in diverse roles.
Participating Ministries and Departments
- Department of Posts: Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster, Dak Sevak, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant.
- Ministry of Railways: Station Master, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Assistant Manager (Civil), Junior Engineer, Technician, Pharmacist.
- Ministry of Home Affairs: Constable (GD), Head Constable (GD), Sub Inspector (GD), Assistant Commandant (GD), Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officer.
- Ministry of Health & Family Welfare: Nursing Officer, Assistant Professor, Senior/Junior Resident Doctor, Hostel Warden, Lab and Hospital Attendant.
- Department of Higher Education: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Registrar, Deputy/Assistant Registrar, Librarian, and other non-teaching positions.
- Department of Financial Services: Probationary Officers, Junior Associates.
Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)
- Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL): Officer Trainee, Junior Officer Trainee, Diploma Trainee.
- Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL): Senior Officer, Junior Executive, Legal Officer, Management Trainee, Assistant Manager, Manager, R&D Officer.
- Coal India Limited (CIL): General Assistant.
- Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL): Senior Engineer, Senior Officer, Chief Manager, Business Assistant, Junior Accountant, Accounts Assistant.
- Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC): Geologist, Geophysicist, Assistant Executive Engineer, Fire Officer.
To support continuous learning, all newly appointed candidates will have access to ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’, an online training module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. This platform offers over 3,600 e-learning courses, enabling flexible and accessible learning from any device.
The recruits will soon take up their official roles and contribute to improving governance, service delivery, and infrastructure across the nation. Their participation will play an important part in advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat, driving the nation’s economic, industrial, and social progress through innovation, dedication, and skill.
At Vadodara, the Rozgar Mela will be organised in the esteemed presence of Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Communications and DoNER, Government of India, at the Postal Training Centre, Harni Road, Vadodara.
