A total of 121 Senior Resident (Non-Academic) posts are available across 39 departments at AIIMS Raipur. The department-wise, category-wise break-up is given below. Vacancies are provisional and subject to variation as per Government of India rules and requirements.

Notes: As per guidelines, EWS posts are not carried forward or treated as backlog vacancies if unfilled; other category candidates may provisionally apply for such a post, but will be considered only as UR candidates if the EWS seat is not otherwise filled. Candidates applying for clinical departments may also appear for interview for the Trauma & Emergency Department, subject to their willingness.

AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

• A postgraduate medical degree, viz. MD/MS/DNB/Diploma, in the respective discipline from a recognised University/Institute.
• For School of Public Health: A postgraduate medical degree, viz. MD/DNB in Community Medicine/PSM, from a recognised University/Institute.
• For Dentistry: A postgraduate degree, i.e., MDS, in the concerned speciality.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates must be Indian Nationals.
• Age and other qualifications/experience will be counted as on the date of interview.
• Only candidates who have been declared successful in their qualifying degree exam, and who will be completing or are likely to complete their tenure on or before 31.08.2026, will be eligible.
• If the qualifying exam result is declared after the interview, the candidature will stand cancelled and no claim for selection will be considered.

AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Salary

This is a fixed-tenure appointment under the Residency Scheme, not a regular/permanent post. The appointee will not be entitled to Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion, or other benefits available to regularly appointed Government servants. Senior Residents are entitled to leave at the rate of 2½ days for every completed month.

1. Shortlisting: Based on bio-data, educational qualification, and experience. The Search cum Selection Committee may shortlist candidates directly for interview.
2. Written/Screening Test (if required): If a large number of applications are received for any post, a Screening Test (computer-based or offline) may be conducted; the syllabus, scheme, and method will be notified on the AIIMS Raipur website.
3. Interview: Held only at AIIMS Raipur, Tatibandh, G.E. Road, Raipur (C.G.) 492099. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. Final Selection: Made entirely on the basis of the interview. The decision of the Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Raipur, is final and binding.

Candidates must attach self-attested photocopies of the following documents with their application, and produce originals along with photocopies at the time of interview for verification:

Category certificate requirements: OBC-NCL candidates must submit an OBC-NCL certificate (Annexure-A format) based on income for FY 2024-25, along with a creamy-layer exclusion declaration, issued on or after 01.04.2026. EWS candidates must submit an EWS certificate (Annexure-C format) valid for 2026-27, as per the DoPT O.M. dated 31.01.2019. SC/ST/OBC certificates (Annexure-A & B formats) must be issued by a Tehsildar or above rank authority as prescribed by the Government of India.

AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions

• Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
• Candidates working in Central/State Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview.
• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC is as per Central Government rules, and 4% reservation applies for PwBD candidates on a horizontal basis.
• The appointment can be terminated at any time, by either side, with one month’s notice or payment of one month’s salary, without assigning any reason.
• The appointee must serve on a whole-time basis at AIIMS and cannot accept any other paid or unpaid assignment, nor engage in private practice during the contract period.
• Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification. Possessing the minimum prescribed qualification does not automatically entitle a candidate to selection.
• The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
• Furnishing false information or suppressing material facts can lead to removal from service and further action as deemed fit.
• All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts of law at Raipur (C.G.).
