NALSA Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

  • Assistant Legal Aid Advisor: Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 3/1 years experience or Master’s Degree in Law with 1 year experience. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 5 years service in Level-10 or 6 years service in Level-8 in the Parent cadre/Department.
  • Accounts Officer: Qualified in Subordinate Accounts/Audit Service or equivalent. Officers holding analogous posts in organised Central/State Accounts/Audit Cadre drawing pay in Level-10 or with 5 years regular service in Level-8.
  • Superintendent (Legal): Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 3 years experience or Master’s Degree in Law with 1 year experience. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 2 years service in Level-7 or 6 years service in Level-6 in the Parent cadre/department.
  • Superintendent (IT): Bachelor of Science or Engineering or Technology in IT/Computer Science/Electronics/Communication/Electrical or Bachelor of Computer Applications with 2 years overall experience (1 year in information security/cyber security). Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 2 years service in Level-7 in the Parent cadre/department.
  • Assistant Accounts Officer: Professional qualifications of Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / MBA (Finance); OR SAS / equivalent examination of organised Accounts/Audit Cadre of Central/State Government; OR at least five years’ experience in handling accounts related work. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 3 years service in Level-7 or 5 years service in Level-6.
  • Assistant Section Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 5 years service in Level-6, 6 years service in Level-5, or 10 years service in Level-4 in the Parent cadre/Department.
  • Assistant (Legal): Bachelor’s Degree in Law with two years’ experience in Legal matters. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 5 years service in Level-6 in the Parent cadre/Department.
  • Senior Secretariat Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 8 years regular service in Level-2 in the Parent cadre/Department.
  • Stenographer Grade ‘D’: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Skill Test norms: Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 wpm, Transcription: 50 minutes (English) on computer. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 5 years regular service in Level-2 in the Parent cadre/Department.
  • Assistant Librarian: Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science with two years’ professional experience in a Library. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 8 years service in Level-2 or 5 years service in Level-3, plus typing speed 35 wpm in English.
