East Godavari ASHA Vacancy Details

The tables on pages 1 and 2 of the notification provide the PHC, UPHC, village and ward-wise vacancy distribution. There are 44 vacancies across 43 notified locations, with two vacancies shown for Vadisaleru-1 under Rangampeta.

Educational Qualification

The applicant must be a literate woman who has completed at least Class 10.

The educational qualification may be relaxed if no suitable woman possessing the prescribed qualification is available in the concerned area.

Eligibility for Rural Areas

• The applicant must be a woman resident of the concerned village.
• Preference will be given to married, widowed, divorced or separated women.
• The preferred age group is 25 to 45 years.
• The candidate should have effective communication and leadership skills.
• She should be able to connect with and support the local community.
• She should have family and social support to perform ASHA duties.
• The minimum educational qualification is Class 10.

Eligibility for Urban Areas

• The applicant must be a woman resident of the identified slum or vulnerable cluster.
• She should preferably belong to the vulnerable group for which the ASHA is being selected.
• Preference will be given to married, widowed, divorced or separated women.
• The preferred age group is 25 to 45 years.
• The candidate should have communication and leadership skills.
• She should be fluent in the local language of the population she will serve.
• The minimum educational qualification is Class 10.

Age Limit

Candidates should preferably be between 25 and 45 years of age. The notification allows relaxation of the age and educational criteria if a suitable woman meeting the prescribed conditions is unavailable in the concerned area.

Salary

The notification does not specify the salary or honorarium payable to the selected ASHA workers.

Application Fee

Selection Process

The selection process will include the following stages:

1. Scrutiny of applications and supporting documents
2. Preparation of the provisional merit list
3. Receipt and consideration of objections
4. Publication of the final merit list

1. Obtain or download the prescribed ASHA application form.
2. Enter the candidate’s name, husband’s name, date of birth and social category.
3. Provide the full communication address and village or ward details.
4. Mention the PHC or UPHC in which the application is being submitted.
5. Enter the Aadhaar number, mobile number and email address.
6. Attach the required certificates and VHNC/VHSNC resolution.
7. Sign the declaration in the application form.
8. Get the application forwarded by the Chairman of VHNSC/UHNSC, where applicable.
9. Submit the completed application to the concerned PHC or UPHC.
10. Ensure that the application is submitted by 25 September 2026.

• Class 10 or SSC certificate as proof of date of birth and qualification
• Residence certificate or ration card
• Resolution and approval of the VHNC/VHSNC of the respective area
• Latest caste certificate issued by the concerned Mandal Revenue Officer, if applicable
• Aadhaar card
• Latest disability certificate issued by the Medical Board through SADAREM, if applying under the PH quota
• Other supporting documents required in the application form
