Assignees are paid per assignment, not a fixed monthly salary. For every post, the notice allows up to a maximum of 7 assignments in a month, limited to 84 assignments in a year, as per requirement. One assignment may take up to 2 to 3 days, and payment is made as per DDK Kolkata instructions.

The notice states that the number of bookings is not fixed and that no right is conferred to demand booking beyond the period assigned by the office. Total earnings will therefore depend on the assignments actually offered.

The selection for DDK Kolkata empanelment follows the steps below, as described in the notice.

DDK Kolkata Recruitment 2026: Terms and Conditions

The notice lists the following terms and conditions for empanelled assignees.

1. This is not, and will not be, an employment.
2. Candidates will be invited for assignment strictly on an “as and when required” basis as per the day-to-day requirement of programmes at the Kendra, and their availability on the date and time of assignment.
3. As per rules, the maximum possible number of assignments is 7 in a month and limited to 84 in a year as per programme requirement/exigencies. One assignment may take up to 2-3 days. No right is conferred to demand booking beyond the period assigned by the office.
4. Assignees are not entitled to any fixed or specific number of bookings, as they are not on the establishment of Doordarshan.
5. The organisation has no objection and does not restrict assignees from continuing in or taking up regular or temporary employment in any other organisation/institution, or being self-employed.
6. Assignees have the right not to accept an assignment offered to them. Once an assignment is accepted, they are obliged to perform it.
7. Candidates have to give their consent in advance for performing the assignment.
8. A candidate can apply for only one category. Double applications will be considered rejected.
9. Applications will be scrutinised, and shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stage of selection.
10. The selection process may consist of several steps – skill test / written test / personality test – depending upon the category as deemed feasible.
11. The selection will be done by a constituted selection committee.
12. Bookings of empanelled candidates will be done strictly on a daily/assignment basis (not exceeding seven per month), and payment will be made as per DDK Kolkata instructions.
13. Empanelment confers no right to be called for regular bookings, or any right/advantage for selection to any regular post in the organisation.
14. Doordarshan reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason. The decision of the Selection Committee is final and irrevocable.
15. Canvassing in any form is strictly prohibited and will render candidates ineligible for selection.

How to Apply for DDK Kolkata Recruitment 2026

Eligible candidates must apply through the Google Form in the prescribed format. No other mode of application will be considered.

1. Check the qualification, age limit and other conditions for the category you want. You can apply for only one category.
2. Keep copies of the required documents ready: certificates of educational qualification, desirable qualification, age proof, experience certificate and similar documents.
3. Open the official Google Form link given in the notice (see the next section).
4. Complete the form in the prescribed format and attach the required document copies.
5. Submit the application on or before 16/10/2026, up to 06:00 pm.
