Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar (LUVAS) has announced temporary vacancies, including 2 Teaching Associate posts, under advertisement number LUVAS/COVS/TA/2026/01. Eligible applicants can apply through the prescribed offline process by submitting the filled application form with self-attested copies of testimonials, certificates, publications and other required documents either by hand or through post to The Dean COVS, LUVAS, Hisar, Haryana on or before 31 October 2026. The required qualification for the Teaching Associate post is M.V.Sc./M.Sc. in Animal Genetics and Breeding, with a notified pay of Rs. 60,000 per month. This temporary engagement is on a purely temporary, non-regular, non-tenurial and time-bound basis, and is co-terminus with the particular Academic Year (July to June) i.e. in June, 2027 and shall not exceed one year.

Duly filled application forms complete in all respects along with self-attested photocopies of required certificates, documents, and publications must reach “The Dean COVS, LUVAS, Hisar, Haryana-125004” either by hand or through post on or before 31.10.2026 up to 05:00 PM. Candidates must mention the title on the envelope as “Application for the position of Teaching Associate in the College of Veterinary Sciences vide Advt. No. LUVAS/COVS/TA/2026/01”. Separate application forms must be submitted for each position if applying for multiple types of positions.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Essential Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences (B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.V.Sc.) from a VCI-recognized university/college/institute (for Sr. No. 2, Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Sciences from an ICAR-recognized institute). Candidates must also hold a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject of Veterinary Sciences, Animal Sciences, or Agriculture Sciences (for Sr. No. 2) recognized by VCI/ICAR. Preference shall be given to candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject.

• Experience certificates and other supporting testimonials as mentioned in the application form.

• Latest passport-size coloured photograph showing 80% face visible, duly signed by the candidate, pasted on the application form.

Selection Process

Selection is based on academic qualifications, additional qualifications, a PowerPoint presentation, and an interview, distributed across a total of 100 marks as follows:

• Bachelor’s Degree: Maximum 20 marks (on pro-rata system)
• Master’s Degree: Maximum 20 marks (on pro-rata system)
• Doctoral Degree: Maximum 10 marks (on pro-rata system)
• Additional Qualifications: Maximum 15 marks (5 marks for University Level Academic Awards like Gold Medal; 10 marks for publications with 1 mark each for NAAS rating ≥6 and 0.5 each for NAAS rating <6)
• PowerPoint Presentation: Maximum 15 marks (on any topic as undergraduate teacher, preference of the candidate)
• Performance in Interview: Maximum 20 marks
