Who Can Apply

Candidates must possess the requisite qualifications and experience specified for the respective coaching discipline:

• Sports Qualification: NIS diploma or its equivalent degree, or Sports Authority of India (SAI) 6-month certificate course and at least one year of coaching experience. Alternatively, C.P.Ed./D.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. qualification and physical fitness as a physical training instructor. Alternatively, H.S.C. pass with participation at national/state level in the relevant sport or one year of coaching experience.
• Preference: Candidates who have won medals in national or state level tournaments for the concerned sport will be given preference during selection.

Pay and Tenure

Selected candidates will receive a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand Rupees only). No other allowances, perks, or financial benefits of any other kind will be payable. The engagement is made on a contractual basis through the Standing Committee resolution for a fixed duration of 11 months.

Coaches appointed under this recruitment will be responsible for conducting training sessions, imparting structured sports coaching, maintaining training discipline, and preparing teams for competitions at the newly constructed sports complex located at Dindoli in the South Zone of Surat Municipal Corporation.

Selection and Interview

The selection process is based on scrutiny of registered applications, verification of original documents, and meeting the required eligibility criteria and qualifications. Eligible candidates will be called for document verification and walk-in interview sessions. The exact schedule, date, and venue for document verification will be communicated via SMS to the candidate’s registered mobile number.

• Candidates must reach the designated venue for document verification or walk-in interviews at their own expense; no travel allowance or fares will be paid by Surat Municipal Corporation.
• At the time of document verification, candidates must produce all original educational certificates, mark sheets, registration certificates, experience certificates, and proof of identity along with one set of self-attested photocopies.
• If any document or information provided by the candidate is found to be false or fabricated at any stage, the application will be summarily rejected and legal action may follow.
• An applicant can submit only one application for a single post. In case of multiple applications for the same post, only the latest application will remain valid.
• Surat Municipal Corporation reserves the sole right and authority to modify, amend, or cancel this advertisement at any time without assigning any reasons.
