Age Limit and Relaxations

Age limits are calculated as on 01.10.2026:

• Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 69 years as on the date of interview. Maximum tenure is up to 70 years of age.
• Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of interview.
• Junior Resident: Not exceeding 35 years as of the date of interview.

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

Important Instructions

• The engagement for Teaching Faculty and Senior Residents will initially be for a period of one year, extendable up to three years subject to satisfactory performance, or until regular incumbents join, whichever is earlier. For Junior Residents, the engagement is for one year only.
• No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining.
• Candidates working in Govt./Autonomous/Statutory Institutions should preferably bring an NOC from their employer.
• The upper age limit, tenure, and reservations are governed by Government of India and NMC guidelines.
• In the event suitable reserved category candidates are not available, posts may be filled by candidates from other categories on a purely temporary contract basis for 44 days.
