About ILBS

The notice describes the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) as an autonomous super-specialty institute under GNCT of Delhi and a Deemed-to-be-University by the UGC. 3. Pay the application fee by electronic transfer to the bank account printed in the notice and the form (see the fee section below).
4. Fill in the application form.

Application Fee

The application form explains how to pay online: by electronic transfer to Account No. 50100143852078, RTGS/NEFT IFSC HDFC0000273, HDFC Bank, Site No. 2, OCF Pocket, Sector – C, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070 branch. The fee is non-refundable once it has been deposited or submitted.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

• Qualification: The official notification does not specify the minimum educational qualification. Instead, it points to the Recruitment Rules for each post on the ILBS website.
• Computer knowledge: A working knowledge of computers is essential for all the posts.
• Pay: The pay is pre-revised PB – IV, GP – 8700, with the 7th CPC applicable. The notice says the pay package is based on the 7th CPC at the pay level that applies at the institute.
• Age limit: 50 years for each post. The notice does not print an “as on” date for age.
• OBC certificate: For a post reserved for the OBC category, ILBS considers only candidates who have an OBC certificate issued by GNCT of Delhi.
• Disability: Candidates with disabilities can apply as defined in the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. Only people with at least 40% of the relevant disability can get the benefit of PWD reservation.

Selection Process

The ILBS Consultant Grade IV selection has two stages: screening of applications, then an interview.

• Screening: A Screening Committee checks every application against the Recruitment Rules of the post.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. ILBS may limit the number of candidates called to a reasonable figure. It can do this based on qualification and experience above the minimum in the advertisement, and on other academic achievements.

ILBS will not reply to candidates about how the interview is conducted or why someone was not called.

Important Instructions

• All three posts are on a contract basis for one year. Either side can end the contract with at least three months’ notice in writing, or salary instead of the notice period.
• The vacancy may change at any time. ILBS reserves the right to fill or not fill any post, and no appeal will be accepted.
• The vacancy may be taken off the website once the post is filled. If a post falls vacant, ILBS can add it at its discretion.
• ILBS reserves the right to reject any or all applications without giving reasons.
• The joining date of selected candidates and other conditions will follow the institute’s HR policy.
• Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
• Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi/New Delhi only.
