About NIMS

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) is a university established under the State Act. It is located at Punjagutta, Hyderabad 500 082, Telangana. The Executive Registrar, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, signed this walk-in notification.

Posts and Eligibility

NIMS has 1 post of Health Inspector (On Contract basis). The educational qualification, as the notice prints it, is a “Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from a recognised university / Institution along with a Health / Sanitary Inspector training course from a recognized institution”. Candidates also need one year of experience in a 500 bedded or larger hospital.

The post carries a consolidated remuneration of Rs.35,000/- per month. Only this consolidated remuneration is paid, and no other allowances are paid. DA, HRA, NPA, TA, pensionary benefits, annual increments, leave encashment and any other allowances admissible to regular employees are not payable. Health benefits are available to the candidate only after 6 months of service.

The selected candidate will be engaged by NIMS on contract basis at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual. It is valid for one (01) year from the date of joining, or extendable as per the requirement at the discretion of the Director. What to Bring

Candidates must bring the following documents in original, with one set of self-attested photocopies:

1. Filled-in Application Form (the form is provided on the NIMS website, www.nims.edu.in)
2. Proof of Date of Birth (SSC certificate)
3. A Degree from a recognized University/institution with a Health Sanitary Inspector course from a recognised university / Institution
4. Experience Certificate
5. Aadhar card
6. Any other certificates in support of eligibility

The application form attached to the notice asks for a self-attested latest passport size photograph to be affixed. It also asks for the post applied for, full name (in block letters), father’s name, spouse’s name, date of birth, marital status, permanent and present postal addresses, telephone and mobile numbers, email ID, social status and place of birth. Candidates must also list the examinations passed (Bachelor’s degree and any other qualifications, with college and university, month and year of passing, and class/division) and enclose Xerox copies. The form ends with a declaration signed and dated by the applicant.

What Happens on the Day

Selection is through a Walk-in Interview before the Selection Committee constituted by NIMS. The notice does not mention a written test. The Selection Committee will assess candidates on:

1. Academic qualifications
2. Experience

The decision of the Selection Committee and the Director, NIMS, shall be final. No TA or DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Important Instructions

• The application fee of Rs.500/- shall be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Director, NIMS, Hyderabad, or through IP Billing, Ground floor, Old Building, NIMS.
• The application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
• The selected candidate shall not have any claim to regular appointment in NIMS, absorption into Government service, regularization of service, continuation beyond the contractual period, or seniority or any service benefits applicable to regular employees.
• Before joining duty, the selected candidate shall execute an agreement with NIMS accepting all terms and conditions of the contractual engagement.
• The decision of the Director, NIMS, Hyderabad, on eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, penalty for false information, interview dates, mode and methodologies of selection, and issuing appointment orders will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entertained.
• The Director, NIMS, reserves the right to increase, decrease, modify or cancel any vacancy or the entire notification without assigning any reason.
• Any dispute arising out of this recruitment shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts at Hyderabad only.
