Who Can Apply

Both of the following qualifications are required for the Junior Library Executive post:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale or equivalent.
• Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale or equivalent.

Only candidates who completed the Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science in 2024, 2025 or 2026 will be considered, along with meeting the other eligibility conditions. The upper age limit is 30 years; the notice prints no date for counting age.

Pay and Tenure

The post is for two years on contract, with a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000. Accommodation within the IIT Tirupati campus will be provided on payment basis, subject to availability. A Certificate of Experience will be given to those who complete at least one year of internship. The selected candidates should work six days a week and be willing to work in different shifts.

The library timings printed in the notice are:

• Monday to Friday: 09.00 hrs to 24.00 hrs (09.00 hrs to 02.00 hrs of the next day during exam week).
• Mid-semester break, semester breaks and Saturdays: 09.00 hrs to 21.00 hrs.
• Public holidays: 09.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs.

Selection and Interview

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written test, practical test or interview. Eligible candidates will be informed about the selection process by email. The notice gives a tentative date of 10 December 2026 for the written test and the trade test or discussion. Mere fulfilment of the qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for the test.
