The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a Schedule “A” multi-divisional Central PSU, is engaging an Officer (Legal Services) on Fixed Tenure Contract (Adhoc basis) for a term of two years, with consolidated pay of Rs.32,890 per month for those offered engagement with two years’ experience and Rs.31,930 per month for one to less than two years’ experience. Who Can Apply

The post is Officer (Legal Services), post code 1. The essential qualification is Graduation in Law with 2 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field. If there are not enough candidates with the prescribed 2 years of experience, candidates with 1 year of relevant experience may be considered. A 5-year integrated dual degree in Law (B.A. LL.B./B.B.A. LL.B./B.Com. LL.B. or equivalent) is also considered.

The minimum two years of post-qualification experience must be in the relevant field as either of these:

• Law/Legal Officer in the legal department of a Central Public Sector Undertaking, State Public Sector Undertaking, Central Government Department, State Government Department, University or Private Limited Company sector organisation; OR
• An advocate before any court of law/Tribunal. The experience counts only after enrolment with the Bar Council, and the Bar Council registration certificate must be uploaded with the online application.

Experience in either or both capacities may be counted, provided the periods do not overlap. Only post-qualification experience as on 01.11.2026 is considered.

Qualification Rules

• The educational qualification must be approved or recognised by UGC, AIU or the Bar Council of India. Candidates with qualifications from foreign universities must produce the order or letter under which AIU approved or recognised it.
• The qualification must be from a full time regular course. Candidates who studied part time or through correspondence, distance, private study or off campus courses are not eligible to apply. For ex-servicemen, the essential qualification acquired or awarded as part of their service, with a certificate issued by the Armed Forces, is considered eligible.
• The relevant date for qualification, experience, age and all other eligibility criteria is 01.11.2026.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The age limit is a maximum of 35 years as on 01.11.2026. Eligible candidates should have been born on or between 01.11.1991 and 31.10.2008. Matriculation / School leaving certificate granted by the Board of Secondary Education is the only acceptable proof of age.

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, PWBD and Ex-Servicemen applies as per Government Directives. For discipline-specific eligibility, candidates should refer to the official notification.

Pay and Tenure

Candidates offered engagement with two years’ experience are paid a consolidated Rs.32,890 per month. Candidates appointed with one to less than two years’ experience are paid a consolidated Rs.31,930 per month. Both get an increase of 3% on successful completion of each year. Leave, ESI, Provident Fund, and TA & DA for duty travel apply based on eligibility, as per the Rules of the Company.

The engagement is for two years, renewable for a maximum period of 2 spells of one year each, at the discretion of the Management, subject to requirement, performance and assessment. It is liable to be terminated by the Management with 15 days’ notice or pay in lieu of notice, at its discretion and without assigning any reason. The engagement is for a fixed term only and gives no right to extension, permanent appointment or preferential treatment in appointment in the Company.

2. Fill in all necessary data in the Online Form as prescribed.
3. Fill in the Application Form in the prescribed format (given as “Application Form” on the website along with the notification) by hand, sign it, affix a photo, and upload it in PDF format at the place provided in the Online Form.
4. Submit the Online Form with the Submit button by 4.00 PM on 19.11.2026.
5. Send the uploaded Application Form in original with the self-attested copies of the documents listed below by Speed Post/Registered Post to DGM (HR), HR Department, FEDO Building, FACT, Udyogamandal, PIN–683501, so that it reaches on or before 26.11.2026.
6. Write on the envelope: “Application for the post of Officer (Legal Services) – Ad.08/2026”.

An application received by post without the Online Form, or an Online Form submitted without the uploaded Application Form, will not be accepted. Originals of the documents must be furnished as and when called for.

Selection and Interview

Candidates are first shortlisted on their qualification and experience as per the documents they submit. Selection is then based on the marks scored in the interview. The notice does not give an interview date or venue. The Management reserves the right to shortlist candidates by methods or criteria it finds suitable and to modify the mode of selection. Its decision on these is final and binding, and no correspondence is entertained. Eligibility is decided from the information and documents submitted, and candidature is provisional at all stages.

Engagement from the panels is at the sole discretion of the Management, based on requirements and following reservation rules. Candidates from the panel may also be considered for engagement for shorter periods, at rates and terms fixed by the Company.

• Engagement is subject to the candidate being medically fit, and continuing to be medically fit, during the contract as per the Company’s standards.
• EWS candidates must submit an EWS certificate of the relevant year (income of 2025-26).
• OBC-NCL candidates must produce an OBC-NCL certificate issued by the competent authority within 6 months prior to joining.
• PwBD candidates must submit a Disability Certificate issued by an authority as prescribed in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017.
• Meeting the eligibility criteria alone gives no right to selection, inclusion in the Panel or engagement.
• Updates will appear on www.fact.co.in. Individual communication is only through the e-mail id given in the application form, which must stay valid and functional. FACT is not responsible for failed communication on that id.
• Applications and documents of applicants not included in the Panel are not retained for more than one year from the date of publication of the Panel.
• Any dispute is settled only in courts within the jurisdiction of Ernakulam, Kerala State.
