Zila Panchayat Jashpur has announced 10 vacancies for the Gram Panchayat Secretary post on a contract basis. Eligible candidates must send the offline application form by registered post or speed post to the Office of Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Jashpur (Chhattisgarh) on or before 30 October 2026, under advertisement number 563/Estt/Panchayat/2026-27. Applicants must possess a Higher Secondary (10+2) and 1 year diploma in Data Entry Operator / Programming, and the notified pay is 3500 – 10000. Selected candidates will be kept on probation for 03 years, and the selection process includes merit calculation based on Higher Secondary marks, higher educational qualification, computer skill test marks, and experience as Rojgar Sahayak.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum educational qualification is passing the Higher Secondary Board Examination (10+2) under a recognised board.
• One-year diploma in Data Entry Operator / Programming from an institution recognised by the government is mandatory.
• The candidate must be a local resident of Jashpur district, verified by a self-attested copy of a residence certificate issued by a competent authority.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years complete as of 01.01.2026.
• Maximum age: 35 years complete as of 01.01.2026.
• Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and female candidates as per the instructions issued by the state government.
• Married female candidates who marry below the age of 18 years and males who marry below the age of 21 years are not eligible for appointment.

• Self-attested passport-size photograph affixed on the application form and extra passport-size photographs.
• Self-attested copies of educational qualification mark sheets and certificates (High School, Higher Secondary, Graduation, Post Graduation).
• One-year diploma certificate in Data Entry Operator / Programming.
• Marriage certificate (optional) and age proof documents.
• Local resident certificate of Jashpur district issued by a competent authority.
• Caste certificate issued by a competent authority for reserved category candidates, along with a creamy layer certificate for OBC candidates where applicable.
• Valid live employment exchange registration card and number with date.
• Experience certificates countersigned by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, showing clear dispatch numbers, dates, and designation, if claiming experience as Rojgar Sahayak.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) through proper channel if working in government or semi-government institutions.

Selection Process

The selection is based on a merit list prepared according to specific evaluation criteria and a computer skill test.

• Merit Determination: Marks are calculated based on 50 percent weightage of Higher Secondary marks, up to 10 marks for higher educational qualifications (5 marks for Graduation, 5 marks for Post Graduation), 25 percent weightage for marks obtained in the computer skill test, and up to 15 marks for experience working on the post of Rojgar Sahayak (3 marks per year, maximum 5 years, with a minimum of 09 months of service making a year).
• Computer Skill Test: Candidates called for the computer skill test will be in the ratio of 05 candidates against 01 post according to the provisional merit list. Ties in marks are resolved based on date of birth priority (older candidates getting preference).
• Probation: Selected candidates will be appointed on a probation period of 03 years, which may be extended up to 05 years if performance is found unsatisfactory.

• The candidate must not have any pending criminal prosecution cases in any police station or court, nor have been convicted of any moral turpitude or offences against women.
• The number of vacancies is subject to increase or decrease, and the appointing authority holds the right to alter terms or cancel the recruitment.
• Both parties can terminate the appointment during probation or service by giving one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu thereof, as per Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service rules.
