Where and How to Send

Applying has two parts. First you submit the online application on the WAPCOS portal. Then you email the printed application PDF, your completed CV and your supporting documents to [email protected] on or before 10 November 2026. The notice says applications are to be submitted online on the WAPCOS website, at the registration link only. Applications cannot be sent by post.

1. Register on the WAPCOS online recruitment portal at www.wapcos.co.in → Careers → Advertisement → Apply Online. The job page says you sign in with your mobile number and an OTP; new applicants can create an account first.
2. Create the account with a valid personal email ID and mobile number. Both must stay active for at least 1 year.
3. Choose the post and fill in all mandatory fields: Post Code, personal details, educational qualifications, experience details and category details.
4. Enter your percentage or CGPA exactly as it appears on the consolidated mark sheet or university certificate, to two decimal places. Do not round it off.
5. Upload the self-attested documents listed under Enclosures below, as PDF or JPEG scans.
6. Submit the application. Once it is finally submitted, it cannot be changed.
7. After submitting, choose Print application / Save PDF.
8. Email the application PDF, your completed CV and your supporting documents to [email protected] on or before 10 November 2026.

The job page asks for a separate application for each post you are eligible for, and allows only one application per post. The advertisement also allows only one application per candidate for each Post Code, and says a candidate may apply only for the post that matches his or her post-qualification experience as on 01.10.2026. Posts, Eligibility and Pay

All five posts have the same pay rule: remuneration is set at the time of engagement, based on the candidate’s qualifications, professional experience and the needs of the project. All five posts have a maximum age limit of 67 years. Age and experience are both counted as on 01.10.2026.

The notice says the number of positions may change and will be decided by the Company’s project requirements.

Electrical Engineer

• Essential qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. A Master’s degree in the relevant field will be an advantage.
• Degrees listed on the job page: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Master of Engineering (M.E.) or Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: At least 10 years of general experience in the power sector. Experience in developing gas-fired combined-cycle or thermal power plant projects with a capacity of 100 MW or more in a single unit will be an advantage.
• Maximum age: 67 years.

Instrumentation and Control Engineer

• Essential qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering. A Master’s degree in the relevant field will be an advantage.
• Degrees listed on the job page: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: At least 10 years of general experience in the power sector. Experience in developing a gas-fired combined-cycle or thermal power plant project with a capacity of 100 MW or more is desirable.
• Maximum age: 67 years.

Senior Labour Specialist

• Essential qualification: Master’s degree in Labour Law, Social Science, or a related field.
• Degrees listed on the job page: Master’s degree in Social Science; Master’s degree in Labour Law.
• Experience: At least 20 years of professional experience. This must include relevant experience in labour management, with 5–10 years spent preparing labour management plans for large construction projects and supervising how contractors’ supply chains carry them out at construction sites.
• Essential knowledge: An understanding of national labour laws and international good practice, including ILO guidelines.
• Preferable: Experience with international multilateral organizations.
• Maximum age: 67 years.

Full-Time Resident Expert / Residential Expert

• Essential qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Degrees listed on the job page: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience providing consultancy services in project development, project planning and project management in the power sector.
• Advantage: Experience in planning, managing or operating thermal power generation projects, and the ability to communicate in the local Bengali language.
• Maximum age: 67 years.

Commissioning Engineer

• Essential qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A Master’s degree in the relevant field will be an advantage.
• Degrees listed on the job page: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in power-sector infrastructure projects. Experience in consulting services for developing a gas-fired combined-cycle or thermal power plant project with a capacity of 100 MW or more is preferred.
• Maximum age: 67 years.

Selection Process

The WAPCOS Expert posts are filled by shortlisting. Applications that meet every eligibility criterion (qualification, experience, age, category and documents) will be shortlisted.

• Relevant experience will be given due weightage.
• The Management reserves the right to set criteria that restrict the number of candidates, if it finds this suitable.
• Shortlisted candidates will be informed only through their registered e-mail or the WAPCOS website. No individual communication will be sent by post.
• Shortlisting does not guarantee selection or a right to a job. Offer and deployment letters will be issued strictly on the basis of project requirements.
• WAPCOS’s decision on all matters of selection and deployment will be final and binding.
• Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate immediately.

Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely temporary, initially for 11 months. It can be extended depending on project requirements and satisfactory performance.
• The appointment is co-terminus with the project. It gives no right to claim regularization, permanency or absorption into WAPCOS’s regular establishment.
• The place of posting will be finalised at the time of engagement. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad, depending on the Company’s work needs.
• Candidates working in Government, a PSU or an Autonomous Body must obtain a valid NOC from their current employer before joining.
• Applications that are missing required documents, a signature or a photograph, or that are incomplete, will be rejected.
• A candidature can be cancelled at any stage, even after selection or joining, if any information given is false, misleading or does not meet the eligibility criteria.
• Updates, corrigenda and amendments to the advertisement will be published only on the WAPCOS website, www.wapcos.co.in.
• Any dispute arising from the advertisement falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts at Gurugram, Haryana.
