The Finance Department of the Government of Maharashtra, located at Mantralaya, Mumbai, operates from the Extension Building at Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Madam Cama Road. Eligibility and Conditions

• Educational and Service Qualification: The candidate must be a retired accounts officer or retired from that post in ministerial service, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in updating state debt statistics, reconciliation, examining budget estimates for fund-raising proposals by borrowers, and checking government guarantee proposals and loan accounts.
• Age Limit: Not more than 65 years of age.
• Residency: The candidate must reside in Mumbai or adjacent districts.
• Disciplinary Record: There should be no departmental inquiry pending or proposed against the candidate.
• Language Proficiency: The candidate must have knowledge of Marathi and English languages.

Selection Process

If deemed necessary, interviews will be conducted for the selection of candidates. The complete power regarding candidate selection remains with the department.

• The appointment is made on a contract basis for a period of 1 year.
• The appointed retired accounts officer shall work under the control of the respective Joint Secretary / Deputy Secretary.
• Applications received without the prescribed format or after the last date will be summarily rejected.
• Canvassing in any form or failure to meet the required qualifications and experience will result in disqualification.
• Other terms and conditions will remain as per the General Administration Department’s Government Resolution dated 10.06.2025.
