Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is the municipal corporation of Mumbai. It runs Shri Harilal Bhagwati Municipal General Hospital in Borivali (West), Mumbai. The hospital’s Chief Medical Officer issued this walk-in notice and will hold the interviews.

Posts and Eligibility

The hospital has 3 House Officer posts. These are tenure posts. The essential qualifications are:

• MBBS
• Permanent registration with the MMC (Maharashtra Medical Council)

Pay and Terms of the Post

The notice calls the pay “consolidated monthly pay” (दरमहा एकत्रित वेतन). It is basic Rs. 6,600/- + D.P. Rs. 3,300/- + Dearness Allowance (as per rules) + 27000 SAC. The tenure runs from the date of appointment until 31 January 2027.

Selected candidates will not be treated as regular employees of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. They will have no right to be absorbed as regular employees. During the whole tenure, the administration may assign them to work in any ward of the hospital, and they must accept this. Biometric attendance is compulsory.

What Happens on the Day

1. Report to the CMO Office, First Floor, Room No. 26, for registration between 10.00 am and 10.30 am on 2 November 2026.
2. Candidates who arrive after registration closes will not be allowed to attend the interview.
3. The interview is held at the same office from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.
4. Selected candidates are told by the CMO’s office when to attend counselling at the same address.

Counselling and Security Deposit

Selected candidates must attend counselling at their own cost and bring their original educational certificates. At counselling they must deposit Rs. 10,000/- as a security deposit, either as a Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation or by challan. Candidates who do not pay the deposit will not get the appointment order. A candidate may become eligible for a refund only after completing the full tenure.

Important Instructions

• A candidate who gives false information, submits a false certificate, or hides or leaves out any information will not be considered for the post. If already appointed, the appointment may be cancelled.
• Blacklisted candidates will not be considered.
• Some candidates will not be considered for other posts in any of the Municipal Corporation’s medical institutions for the next three years. This applies to anyone who refuses an appointment offer, does not join after accepting it, or leaves before the tenure ends.
• The number of posts may change according to the hospital’s work and needs.
• No travel allowance or daily allowance (TA/DA) will be paid for attending the interview.
