City Health Society (CHS), Brahmapur, has announced the Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 for 1 vacancy at Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandir (UAAM). Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview scheduled for 03 November 2026 at the OSWAN Conference Hall, BeMC, Brahmapur.

Candidates aged 21 to 70 years as on 30 September 2026 who have completed MBBS from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and possess valid registration with the Odisha Council of Medical Registration are eligible to attend the interview. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹63,294 plus performance incentives (PI) up to 25%. Candidates must report to the interview venue by 11:00 AM on 03 November 2026 with the required documents and original certificates for verification.

Age Limit: Upper age limit up to 70 years as on 30.09.2026. Candidates above 65 years as on 30.09.2026 must submit a physical fitness certificate from any Govt. Hospital not below the rank of Medical Officer (Jr. Class-1) at the time of interview. Lower age limit is 21 years as on 30.09.2026.

City Health Society Brahmapur Medical Officer Job Description

• Diagnosis and treatment of patients coming to OPD.
• Ensure 12 services under the UAAM.
• To conduct minor surgery, ANC, PNC etc in the UAAM.
• In case of any complication, immediate referral to the higher health institutions.
• Prescription of medicines from the available essential drug list.
• Supervision of day to day hospital activities & management so as to ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction care of the patients.
• Supervision on proper maintenance and update of records and reports.
• General administration of the Urban HWC & staff management etc.
• Ensure achievement of quality standard & other achievement.
• Supervise out-reach activities/community mobilization under the jurisdiction of the Urban HWC.
• Keep close coordination with reporting health institutions, City / District / ULB and other key line departments for smooth operation of the facility and regularly participation in the district / city level monthly meetings.
• Verify reports & returns generated every month and their analysis before submission to City / District.
• Conduct verification / audit of the stock allotted / procured for Hospital and forward the indent to CHS / DHS for supply of medicine from time to time.
• Ensure proper use and management of bio-medical waste.
• Any other tasks assigned by District / City / ULB from time to time.

What to Bring

• Two copies of recent passport size color self-attested photographs. Self-attested photocopies of all mark sheets and certificates in proof of education, age, and valid Odisha Council of Medical Registration Number. Application form and self-attested photocopies of all mark sheets and certificates with ID Proof (Aadhar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport). No Objection Certificate for candidates already working in the Health Department or others either on regular or contractual basis. Two self-addressed envelopes (Size 24” X 10”) with postage stamps of Rs. 40/- affixed on it. All original certificates and documents for verification during the interview.

What Happens on the Day

Candidates must report at the interview venue by 11:00 AM on 03 November 2026. Failure to report within the time frame results in automatic disqualification for the walk-in interview. Eligible candidates must present all relevant documents and certificates for verification during the interview process.

Important Instructions

• The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the scheme under PM-ABHIM / NHM Grants.
• Canvassing in any form leads to direct disqualification.
• Candidates already working in the Health Department on regular or contractual basis must produce a specific No Objection Certificate from the appointing authority issued subsequent to the advertisement.
• Candidates who have been disengaged earlier from OSH&FW Society / ZSS Ganjam / CHS Brahmapur on administrative grounds are not eligible to apply.
• The selected panel remains valid for one year from the result publication date, and candidates securing 50% or more marks in the final merit list may be kept in the panel for future vacancies.
