Post-wise Details

Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (6 posts)

Qualification required: A Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks (studied for at least 2 years) OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, and B.Ed. or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.; OR 4-year integrated programme/course/degree of B.El.Ed. / B.Sc.B.Ed. / B.A.B.Ed. / B.Com.B.Ed. from NCTE-recognized Institution.; Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE is mandatory. Age limit: Maximum 35 years. Pay: Pay Level – 07.

Assistant Teacher (Primary) (2 posts)

Qualification required: Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and B.Ed.; Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.; Must have passed Hindi or English as a subject at the Secondary level. Age limit: Maximum 35 years. Pay: Pay Level – 06.

How Will Delhi University Select Candidates?

• Stage 1: Shortlisting of applicants on the basis of a Preliminary Test (Multiple Choice Question – MCQ based).
• Stage 2: Examination (Main) (Descriptive).
• Skill Test (Qualifying in nature).
• Preliminary Test: 100 questions, 200 marks, Duration 2 hours, MCQ based.
• Examination (Main): Descriptive questions on Teaching Aptitude and Knowledge of the subject, 200 marks, Duration 2 hours.
• Skill Test: 100 marks, qualifying in nature.

Delhi University Exam Pattern 2026

• Negative marking of 0.5 mark for each wrong answer in Preliminary Test.
• Preliminary Test is only for shortlisting and has no weightage in final assessment.
• Bilingual question paper (English and Hindi).
