Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree from a government-recognized university or institute. The accepted engineering disciplines depend on the post.

• E&M posts: Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Power Electronics, Instrumentation or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• Telecom posts: Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Electronics and Communication, Applied Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Power Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science or Information Technology, depending on the post.
• Traction posts: Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Rolling Stock posts: Electrical, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Power Electronics, Instrumentation or an equivalent discipline.
• Signalling posts: Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Applied Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Power Electronics, Instrumentation or an equivalent discipline.
• Lifts and Escalators post: Electrical, Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.

Post-Wise Experience Requirements

Relevant experience includes design, planning, technical specifications, contract administration, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and statutory approvals for metro, railway, LRT, suburban rail or related systems. The exact experience area varies according to the post.

Age Limit

Age and experience will be calculated as of 19 September 2026. The age limit does not apply to existing GMRCL employees, except officials re-employed after superannuation.

Salary Details

The revised IDA pay scales range from ₹35,000–1,10,000 for Engineer – Senior Grade to ₹1,00,000–2,60,000 for Additional General Manager.

• Additional General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,45,000 per month.
• Joint General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,45,000 per month.
• Deputy General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,00,000 per month.
• Deputation pay and benefits will be governed by the applicable terms and conditions.
• Other benefits, group medical coverage and group personal accident insurance may be provided according to GMRC policy.

GMRC Systems Recruitment Selection Process

The selection process will include the following stages:

1. Shortlisting of eligible applicants
2. Document verification
3. Personal interview
4. Medical examination according to the category prescribed for the post

The selection process may assess the candidate’s knowledge, experience, skills, expertise, aptitude and physical fitness. The interview date, time and venue will be communicated to shortlisted applicants through their registered email address.

2. Open the “Careers” section.
3. Find the Systems Recruitment notification dated 19 September 2026.
4. Register using your name, date of birth, category, mobile number and email address.
5. Use the passcode sent to your registered email address to log in.
6. Select the position for which you want to apply.
7. Enter your education and employment information in the required order.
8. Upload the prescribed certificates and supporting documents.
9. Use the preview option to verify all entered details.
10. Submit the online application on or before 3 October 2026.

Applications will be accepted only through the online application system. Candidates should carefully review the form before submission because it cannot be edited after final submission.

Documents Required

• Detailed curriculum vitae
• Matriculation certificate or birth certificate as proof of age
• SSC and HSC mark sheets
• All semester or year-wise graduation mark sheets
• Degree certificates
• Experience or service certificates from previous employers
• Documents showing the current or previous pay scale and CTC
• Latest CTC breakup for candidates employed in private organizations
• Appointment letter and proof of joining the current organization
• Latest salary slip
• Form 16 for the last three years, where applicable
• NOC and the last five years’ APARs for candidates employed in Government, PSU, boards or Metro Rail corporations

Important Instructions

• The number of advertised vacancies may change depending on organizational requirements.
• Possessing the minimum qualification and experience does not guarantee an interview call.
• Government, PSU and Metro Rail employees applying on deputation must submit the required NOC.
• Preference may be given to candidates who have worked in Gujarat for at least three years and know Gujarati.
• Preference may also be given to candidates working in the same grade or the immediate lower grade with two years of experience.
• Original certificates must be produced during document verification.
• Incomplete applications may be rejected.
• GMRC may offer a grade lower than the one applied for.
• Selected candidates may be posted at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat or another GMRC project in Gujarat.
