Pay and Tenure

The positions are purely on a contract basis through a manpower agency. The tenure is initially for eleven months for senior posts and three months for junior posts, which can be extended as per the requirement of the Trust. The monthly remuneration varies by position: Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 1,45,000/- for senior posts, Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 80,000/- for Junior Front End Developer Web, and Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 80,000/- for Content Reviewer & Writer posts.

National Book Trust Senior Backend Developer Job Description

Selected candidates will be required to perform specific roles based on their designated positions:

• Senior Backend Developer: Design and build core backend systems, including authentication modules, book storage, recommendation engines, and analytics tracking; implement robust content delivery mechanisms and Digital Rights Management (DRM) protocols; optimize server-side performance, database queries, and overall API security.
• Senior Front End Developer (Android): Build and maintain high-performance Android application interfaces; optimize app performance, speed, and responsiveness across various devices; ensure strict adherence to platform guidelines and usability standards; collaborate closely with backend and design teams; debug and resolve UI/UX issues.
• Senior Database Administrator: Manage, configure, and optimize enterprise databases for peak performance; ensure strict data security, regular backups, and disaster recovery planning; monitor database performance, query efficiency, and troubleshoot operational issues proactively; handle database migrations, schema updates, and patch implementations.
• Senior System Administrator: Manage and maintain servers, networks, and overall system infrastructure; ensure high availability, robust security, and regular data backups; monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively; implement user management protocols.
• Junior Front End Developer Web: Create and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces; ensure seamless cross-browser and multi-device compatibility; optimize frontend performance, rendering speed, and page load times; implement clean UI components based on prototypes and wireframes; debug and resolve frontend, UI/UX, and responsiveness issues.
• Content Reviewer & Writer (Hindi) & (Multilingual): Review uploaded content for quality, accuracy, and compliance with guidelines; check for plagiarism, copyright, and metadata correctness; ensure proper formatting (ePUB, PDF, MOBI standards); review books for uploading on ReP Platforms; create high-quality descriptions, summaries, and promotional blurbs; draft newsletters, campaign content, and announcements for new titles.
