Senior Consultant (IT/LMS)

• Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and management of digital platforms, including Learning Management System (LMS) and multilingual interfaces.
• Guide the IT team in creating, integrating, and maintaining e-learning systems, multimedia content, and AI-enabled tools.
• Ensure quality, security, and reliability of digital infrastructure, including troubleshooting and data protection.
• Coordinate with academic and Administration teams to align IT solutions with project requirements.
• Oversee consistency and standardisation of digital content and user experience across all languages and courses.
• Innovate and recommend emerging technologies for enhancing online learning and multilingual delivery.
• Undertake any other as assigned.

Consultant (IT/LMS)

• Support the development and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.
• Assist in uploading, integrating, and troubleshooting course content, multimedia, and language resources.
• Coordinate with academic and technical teams to ensure smooth functioning of IT-enabled educational delivery.
• Ensure accuracy and functionality of digital content and user interfaces across platforms.
• Provide technical support for online learning, including troubleshooting and user assistance.
• Implement security and data protection measures as per institutional guidelines.
• Undertake any other IT-related tasks as assigned.

• The duly filled application form (the Application Format annexed to the notice), with a passport size photograph pasted on it.
• Self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials.

The Application Format asks for the post applied for, name in block letters, father’s/husband’s name, date of birth and age, contact number/email, correspondence address, examinations passed (board/university, year, percentage), working knowledge of computer operations, experience details and any other information, followed by a declaration and signature.

What Happens on the Day

Candidates report at 9.00 A.M. and the interview starts at 10.00 A.M. on 17 November 2026 at the NIOS Headquarters venue. Selected candidates may be required to join immediately.

Important Instructions

• The positions are purely contractual for six months and can be extended on mutual consent.
• The engaged candidate has to execute an agreement with NIOS, renewable on the basis of satisfactory performance.
• Contract staff are not part of the regular staff and get no special preference in recruitment to regular posts.
• The engaged candidate has no vested right, before or after the contract period, to ask for regularisation or absorption in NIOS.
• During the contract, if required, the staff will have to proceed to any part of India and perform the duties assigned in connection with NIOS work.
• NIOS reserves the right to fill or not to fill any position without assigning any reason.
• No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
