SGPGIMS Skill Test Date 2026 has been announced by the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, on 16 October 2026 for Stenographer and Senior Administrative Assistant (SAA) posts under Advertisement No. I-08/1 to 11/Rectt/2025-26. The skill tests will be conducted from 26 October to 3 November 2026 at Government Industrial Training Institute (GITI), Charbagh, Lucknow. SGPGIMS Stenographer and SAA Skill Test Schedule 2026

SGPGIMS has allotted separate dates for Stenographer and Senior Administrative Assistant candidates. The post-wise schedule is provided below.

All scheduled candidates must report at 9:00 AM. The skill test begins at 10:00 AM on the allotted date.

SGPGIMS Stenographer Skill Test Date 2026

The Stenographer skill test is scheduled across five dates in October 2026. The official PDF lists 195 Stenographer candidates.

SGPGIMS Stenographer Shorthand Test Pattern 2026

The Stenographer examination includes a shorthand dictation test in Hindi or English. Candidates must meet the standards specified in the official notice.

SGPGIMS Senior Administrative Assistant Typing Test Date 2026

The SGPGIMS Senior Administrative Assistant (SAA) skill test will be conducted on 2 and 3 November 2026.

Candidates should check the official PDF to confirm their individual typing test date using their roll number or application sequence number.

SGPGIMS SAA Typing Test Pattern 2026

The Senior Administrative Assistant skill test evaluates candidates’ computer typing ability. Candidates must select either Hindi or English for their test.

SGPGIMS specifies that the first five spelling mistakes will be ignored. After the first five mistakes, five words will be deducted for each additional spelling mistake.

Important: The typing test notice refers to both English and Hindi but directs candidates to choose either Hindi or English for the test.

SGPGIMS Skill Test 2026 Venue and Reporting Time

The Stenographer and Senior Administrative Assistant skill tests will take place at the same examination venue.

Venue: Government Industrial Training Institute (GITI), Charbagh, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

No candidate will be permitted to enter after the test has commenced. Candidates should report at 9:00 AM on their individual allotted dates.

Documents Required for SGPGIMS Skill Test 2026

SGPGIMS has instructed candidates to carry the following documents for verification:

• Admit Card: The admit card used for the earlier CBT examination.
• Aadhaar Card: For identity verification.

All candidates must also undergo biometric screening before appearing in the skill test. Candidates who fail biometric verification will not be permitted to take the test.

SGPGIMS Skill Test 2026 Important Instructions

Candidates appearing for the skill test must follow the official examination instructions:

• Attend the skill test on the date allotted against your roll number.
• Report at the GITI, Charbagh venue at 9:00 AM.
• Carry the CBT admit card and Aadhaar card.
• Complete biometric verification before appearing in the test.
• Do not bring prohibited electronic devices, mobile phones or other restricted items.
• The examination centre will not provide storage for candidates’ personal belongings.
• No exemption from the skill test will be granted on the basis of skill certificates.
• No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the test.

Is SGPGIMS Skill Test 2026 Qualifying or Merit-Based?

The SGPGIMS skill test is mandatory and qualifying in nature.

Candidates must pass the prescribed shorthand or typing test to be considered for the final merit list. However, no additional marks are awarded for passing the skill test.

The final merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the online recruitment examination, subject to the candidate qualifying the skill test and meeting the applicable recruitment requirements.
