Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has officially released the Tradesman Trainees – Trade Apprentices Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. 2026/24) for 10 vacancies. Eligible candidates below 28 years of age and holding an ITI qualification, i.e., National Trade Certificate (NTC) with at least 60% aggregate marks awarded by NCVT in the respective trade, can attend the walk-in interview on 30 September 2026. A total of 10 vacancies are available – 2 for Carpenter, 3 for Electrician, 1 for Fitter, 1 for Welder (G&E), 1 for Painter, 1 for Machinist and 1 for Turner.

TIFR Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

• Carpenter: ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) with an aggregate of 60% marks awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade of Carpenter.
• Electrician: ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) with an aggregate of 60% marks awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade Electrician.
• Fitter: ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) with an aggregate of 60% marks awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade Fitter.
• Welder (G&E): ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) with an aggregate of 60% marks awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade Welder (G&E).
• Painter: ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) with an aggregate of 60% marks awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade Painter.
• Machinist: ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) with an aggregate of 60% marks awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade Machinist.
• Turner: ITI i.e. National Trade Certificate (NTC) with an aggregate of 60% marks awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade Turner.
