Nationality/Domicile

Local candidature and reservation rules under the Presidential Order 2018 and the Telangana Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 2018, apply across all posts for claiming reservation benefits.

TSLPRB Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification

For all posts, candidates with a higher qualification than prescribed are also considered eligible.

Medical/Physical Eligibility (SI Civil, RSI, SPF SI, SFO, Deputy Jailor)

Distant vision must be 6/6 in each eye and near vision 0.5 (Snellen) in each eye, with full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid eye condition results in disqualification, as do physical conditions such as knock-knees, pigeon chest, flat foot, varicose veins, hammer toes, fractured limbs, decayed teeth, stammering, hard of hearing, and abnormal psychological behaviour.

TSLPRB Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

An additional 5-year age relaxation applies across all posts for uniformed services (Police, Fire Services, Prisons, and Special Protection Force), as per GO Ms No. 87, General Administration (Services-A) Department, dated 18-05-2026.

Age validation is not done automatically in the online form; candidates must independently verify their own age eligibility.

TSLPRB Recruitment 2026 Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates undergo Induction/Institutional Training and are eligible for a stipend fixed by the Government during training. Regular pay applies only after successful completion of training and appointment to the regular post.

TSLPRB Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

The notifications state that OC and BC candidates with local status of Telangana State must pay the fee “as designated in the Online Application,” while SC and ST local candidates pay a concessional fee. TSLPRB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection stages differ slightly depending on the post group.

A. SI Civil, RSI, SPF SI, Station Fire Officer & Deputy Jailor (Post Codes 11-14, 16-19)

1. Preliminary Written Test (PWT): One objective paper, 3 hours – Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability (100 questions) and General Studies (100 questions), 200 marks total. Qualifying marks: 30% OC/EWS, 25% BC, 20% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1600m run (Men)/800m run (Women), height measurement, Long Jump/Shot-put. The run is qualifying only for Post Codes 11, 17, 18, 19, while it carries marks for Post Codes 12, 13, 14, 16.
3. Final Written Examination (FWE): Four papers of 3 hours each – English, Telugu/Urdu (both qualifying), Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability, and General Studies. Qualifying marks: 40% OC/EWS, 35% BC, 30% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen per paper.
4. Certificates Verification.

Final Written Examination Pattern:

Papers I and II are qualifying only. Final merit for Post Codes 11, 17, 18, 19 is based on Papers III + IV; for Post Codes 12, 13, 14, 16, both the FWE score and the normalized PET run-event score count.

B. PC Mechanic & PC Driver (Post Codes 35, 36) – No Preliminary Written Test

1. PMT/PET (common stage, see table below).
2. Trade Test (Mechanic) / Driving Test (Driver): 100 marks across 10 (Mechanic) or 8 (Driver) technical parameters. Minimum 50 marks overall, with a minimum of 5 marks in each parameter; failing 3 or more parameters disqualifies even if the aggregate minimum is met.
3. Written Examination: Objective Technical Paper, 200 questions, 200 marks, 3 hours.
4. Certificate Verification.

Final selection is based on the aggregate of the Trade Test/Driving Test and the Written Examination. Qualifying marks in the Written Examination: 40% OC/EWS, 35% BC, 30% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.

C. ASI, Fingerprint Bureau (Post Code 33) – No Preliminary Written Test

1. PMT/PET (common stage, see table below).
2. Written Examination:

Paper I is qualifying only; final merit is based on Paper II + Paper III. Qualifying marks: 40% OC/EWS, 35% BC, 30% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.

3. Certificate Verification.

Common PMT/PET Requirements (All Posts)

PMT/PET conducted for one TSLPRB notification within a 3-month window is valid across all other TSLPRB notifications the same candidate applies for – it is not repeated.

Selection at every stage (admission to exam, merit list inclusion, hall ticket issuance) is purely provisional. There is no waiting list; fallout vacancies from cancelled provisional selections lapse for that recruitment cycle.

TSLPRB Recruitment 2026 Reservation Details

• Standard categories apply: BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Meritorious Sports Persons (MSP), and EWS, per Rule 22 of the Telangana State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996.
• Women’s Reservation (ASI FPB and applicable SI-group posts): 33⅓% horizontal reservation across all categories, including EWS.
• Special Category Quotas – PC Mechanic: 10% Home Guards, 3% Children of Police Personnel (CPP), 1% NCC.
• Special Category Quotas – PC Driver: 20% Home Guards, 3% CPP, 1% NCC.
