Who Can Apply for UPPSC Recruitment 2026?

Other conditions:

• Mandatory to make One Time Registration (O.T.R.) before applying online.
• Caste certificates for women candidates from father side only will be treated valid.
• Reservation benefits applicable only to permanent residents of U.P.

Desirable:

• Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years

Assistant Architect Planner (8 posts)

Qualification required: Post Graduate Degree in Town or City or Urban or Housing or Country or Rural or Infrastructure or Regional or Transport or Environment Planning from a recognized University or Institute.; Bachelor of Planning or Bachelor of Technology In Planning from a recognized University or Institute with two years of experience in the field of Urban Planning.; Bachelor Degree in Architecture awarded by Indian Universities established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature.; National Diploma in Architecture awarded by the AICTE.; Degree of Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) awarded by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.; Five-Year full-time diploma in Architecture of the Sir J.J. School of Art, Bombay. Age limit: Have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2026. Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100 , Grade Pay: 5,400 , Level-10.

Sports Officer (16 posts)

Qualification required: Graduation from a recognized University.; Diploma in coaching from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala, Bangalore, Calcutta, LNCPE Trivandrum, Gwalior or equivalent.; Two years experience in coaching. Experience required: Two years experience in coaching. Age limit: Have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2026. Pay: Rs. 47,600-151,100 , Level-8.

Programmer Grade-2 (1 post)

Qualification required: Bachelor’s degree from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto.; Post graduate Diploma in Computer Science from a recognised Institute/University; or ‘A’ level Certificate from the Department of Electronics (D.O.E.), Government of India. Age limit: Have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2026. Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800 Grade Pay-4600.

How Will UPPSC Select Candidates?

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination / Direct Recruitment based on marks
• Document Verification
• Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the examination.

UPPSC Exam Pattern 2026

• Negative marking: one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty for wrong answers.
• Minimum efficiency standard is 35% for SC and ST, and 40% for other categories.

1. Visit the commission’s website https://uppsc.up.nic.in and complete One Time Registration (O.T.R.).
2. Click on ‘Apply’ and authenticate with O.T.R.
3. Fill essential qualifications and submit details in Application Part-2.
4. Pay the application fee through SBI MOPS and take print of Payment Transaction Slip and Application Form.
5. Apply on or before 4 December 2026.

Other Points to Note

• Candidates must ensure preservation of information of all stages for future references.
• Hard copy of documents should not be sent to the commission at the preliminary exam stage.
