Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Sciences from a recognized university/institution; OR Degree in Maths/Statistics/Operational Research/Economics with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application/Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized university/institution; OR Degree in Engineering with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application/Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized university/institution
• Experience: Officers holding analogous posts or Assistant Director (EDP)/Assistant Director (Research) and other equivalent posts in the scale of pay of Rs.9100-15100 with five year service in the grade in P&R Division in a Major Port Trust
• Age limit: Age limit for direct recruits does not apply to absorption/deputation (as on 1 November 2026)

Other conditions:

• Open only to officers of Major Port Authorities on absorption/deputation basis
• Vigilance report in the prescribed format (Annexure-III)
• Details of any major or minor penalty in the last 10 years to be sent by the forwarding authority

Desirable:

• Post Graduate Degree in Maths/Statistics/Operational Research/Economics
• Or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Systems/Information Systems/MIS/Information Technology/Computer Application
• Or Business Admn. (PG Degree/Diploma) with specialization in Systems/Information Systems/MIS/Information Technology and allied subjects

How to Apply for DPA Recruitment 2026 Offline

1. Fill the bio-data proforma in Annexure-II and affix a recent passport size photograph.
2. Get the Head of Office certificate in the proforma signed with seal.
3. Enclose attested APARs for last five years, certificates, NOC, undertaking and Vigilance/Administrative Clearance.
4. Write ‘Application for the Post of Deputy Director (EDP) on Absorption/Deputation basis’ on the envelope.
5. Send the application through proper channel to Deendayal Port Authority, Gandhidham on or before 07/12/2026.
