The Goa Housing Board, Porvorim, has invited applications for two posts: one Lower Division Clerk (Group “C”, Level-2) and one Multi Tasking Staff (Group “C”, Level-1). Both vacancies are for the EWS category. Where and How to Send

Submit the application in the prescribed format to: The Managing Director, Goa Housing Board, Building ‘A’, 2nd Floor, New Market Complex, Porvorim, Bardez, Goa – 403521. The notice does not state the postal mode.

• The application format is available on the Goa Housing Board website, www.ghb.goa.gov.in, and on the Government portal. The format is also printed on pages 3 to 6 of the notice.
• All entries must be in block letters, in the candidate’s own handwriting. Items must not be added, deleted or carried to another page.
• The form asks for the year, the serial number and name of the post applied for, full name, postal and residential addresses (with proof), telephone numbers, date and place of birth, age on the closing date, nationality, category, languages known, education, training, work experience and other relevant information.
• A passport-size photograph is pasted on the form, with the signature put half on the photograph and half on the form.
• The form also asks whether the candidate has state or national level participation in sports, NSS, NCC or extra-curricular activities (certificates to be attached if yes), and about any conviction, major penalty or pending prosecution or disciplinary action.
• The form ends with a declaration that false or incorrect information can lead to the candidature being cancelled or rejected even after selection.
• Persons already in Government service must send the application through proper channel.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

The notice prints only the pay levels, not the rupee amounts.

Lower Division Clerk Group “C”

• Essential: Higher Secondary School Certificate, or an All India Council for Technical Education approved Diploma awarded by a recognized State Board of Technical Education, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
• Essential: knowledge of computer applications / operations with typing speed of 30 words per minute in English.
• Essential: knowledge of Konkani.
• Desirable: knowledge of Marathi.

Multi Tasking Staff Group “C”

• Essential: passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination from a recognized Board/Institution, OR passed a course conducted by an Industrial Training Institute, or an equivalent qualification, in the relevant trade, from a recognized Institution.
• Essential: knowledge of Konkani.
• Desirable: knowledge of Marathi.

Age Limit

For both posts the age must not exceed 45 years. The limit is relaxable for Government servants and for candidates belonging to reserved categories, in accordance with instructions or orders issued by the Government. The notice does not print a minimum age.

The cut-off date for educational qualifications, age limit and experience is the last date of application. For the discipline-specific eligibility of each post, candidates should refer to the official notification.

Self-attested documents are to be sent along with the application, such as:

• 15 years Residence Certificate in the State of Goa

• Aadhaar Card

• The candidature of shortlisted candidates will not be considered if they are found ineligible at the verification of essential documents, even though they have passed the examination.
