Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District Court has notified vacancies for the Special Judicial Magistrate of Second Class post on a contract basis. Eligible candidates can apply offline by submitting applications in triplicate in the prescribed format, sent by post or in person to the Office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad on or before 28 October 2026. The qualification for the post includes retired judicial officers, former ministerial staff, section officers with law degree, non-practicing advocates, or retired gazetted officers, with suitable retired Judicial Officers receiving preference. The notified remuneration for the position is Rs. 45,000 plus Rs. 5,000 conveyance allowance per month under advertisement number Dis.No. 1516/2026.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Term of Post: One year from the date of assumption of charge, subject to changes as per Hon’ble High Court directions. Powers stand automatically withdrawn upon attaining 65 years of age.

Educational Qualifications & Experience: Candidates must satisfy any one of the following criteria:

• Has held any post in Telangana Higher Judicial Services or State Judicial Services and retired or resigned, OR
• Has held a post in the Telangana Judicial Ministerial Service not below the rank of Superintendent of District Court or Senior Civil Judge or Junior Civil Judge’s Court and has a Law Degree, OR
• Has held a post of Section Officer and above in the High Court service and has a Law Degree, OR
• A non-practicing Advocate with a practice at the Bar of not less than five years and who is above 45 years of age, accompanied by a Certificate of voluntary suspension of practice issued by the Bar Council of State of Telangana, OR
• Any retired Gazetted Officer possessing a Law Degree OR who has passed the Criminal Judicial Test (Full test consisting of Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code) conducted by the Telangana Public Service Commission and who has exercised Magisterial powers during tenure or service for not less than three years.

Age Limit: Must have at least one year to complete 65 years of age at the date fixed by the Court in the year of recruitment. Suitable retired Judicial Officers shall be preferred.
