Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Full time B. Tech/M. Tech in Dairy Technology with first class from AICTE recognized institute.
• Experience: Must have 6 years full time experience for Deputy Manager/4 years full time experience for Assistant Manager in processing and manufacturing of milk and milk products in a Dairy Plant out of which 3 years working in the Plant Operations.
• Age limit: Not be less than 28 years of age and more than 38 years of age (as on 1 November 2026)
• Age relaxation: Relaxation may be given in case of appropriate or outstanding candidates.

Other conditions:

• Proficiency (read, write, speak) in Assamese, Bengali, Hindi & English (any of two) is must.
• Internal Candidates related to Purabi Dairy or National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) managed units must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

NEDFL Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager-Dairy Plant Job Description

• Monitor processing, quality, maintenance, and dispatch parameters to ensure quality output at minimum cost while adhering to food safety through SOPs.
• Process milk and milk products by monitoring FAT and SNF input and output to minimize solid loss.
• Review plant operations continuously and suggest measures for improved productivity.
• Ensure strict maintenance of product quality and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).
• Maintain industrial relations, ensure preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns, and manage pouch milk processing/packaging alongside products like Lassi, Butter Milk, Dahi, Paneer, and Sweets.
• Work with QA to release products according to specifications, oversee production, QC, and maintenance, and manage inventory of raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods.
• Facilitate ISO audits, ensure timely statutory requirements, plan and supervise subordinate staff, and monitor civil, mechanical, and electrical project works.
• Provide technical assistance to dairy infrastructure including BMC centers and arrange employee training.
