PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Guntur (KVS Guntur) is recruiting candidates for TGT – Social Science, Primary Teacher, Educational Counsellor, Telugu Teacher, and Data Entry Operator posts on a purely contractual basis for the academic session 2026-27. Eligible candidates can attend a walk-in interview on 28 October 2026, reporting at 9:00 AM at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nallapadu, Guntur. Applicants must bring original certificates, an updated resume, and a set of self-attested photocopies of all documents. Pay is on a purely contractual basis as per KVS norms. Posts and Eligibility

TGT – Social Science

• Bachelor Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject with B.Ed. (Any two of the following: History, Geography, Economics, and Pol. Science of which one must be either History or Geography).
• B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE recognized institution/University with at least 50% marks.
• Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
• Preference will be given to CTET qualified candidate. However, in the absence of CTET qualified candidates, candidates having no CTET qualification may be considered if otherwise eligible as per KVS recruitment rules.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• Desirable: Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.

Primary Teacher (PRT)

• Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Institute/Board; OR
• Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate (Class XII) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) from a recognized Institute/Board; OR
• Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate/Class-XII with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in Education (Special Education) from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
• Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test Paper-1 conducted by the Govt. of India.
• Desirable: Knowledge of working on computer.
• Desirable: Working knowledge of English and Hindi/Bhartiya Bhasha.

Educational Counsellor

• B.A. / B.Sc. / M.A. / M.Sc. (Psychology) with at least 50% marks, with Certificate of Diploma in Counseling.
• Desirable: Minimum of one-year experience in providing career/educational counseling to students at schools.
• Desirable: Registration with Rehabilitation Council of India as Vocational Counselor.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Telugu Teacher

• Bachelor/Honours Degree from a recognized institution/University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject. Candidate should have studied Telugu as an Elective/Main subject in at least 03 years / 06 semesters of the course.
• B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE recognized institution/University with at least 50% marks; OR Three years Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE recognized Institution/University with at least 50% marks.
• Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Data Entry Operator

• Passed 12th class examination.
• Typing speed of 35 WPM (minimum) in English & 30 WPM (minimum) in Hindi.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications (Windows, MS Office, Spreadsheet, E-mail, Internet, Tally, etc.).
