Who Can Apply

Essential Qualification

• M.Sc. in Life Science/ Bio Science/Biological Science with minimum 02 years of post-qualification experience. OR
• B.Sc. with Life Science/ Bio Science/Biological Science subject with minimum 06 years of post-qualification experience.

The percentage/grade points with respect to the academic qualification will be a minimum 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.

Desirable Qualification and Background

• We are seeking a self-driven and creative Life Science/Biology/Bioscience educator with a strong desire to work in school STEM education through hands-on and inquiry-based learning.
• Experience in teaching Life Science/Biology/bio science to students of grades 8-12 (eg., TGT, PGT, CBSE, IB, IGCSE, ICSE and state boards).
• Good communication and facilitation skills; professional fluency in spoken-written English and spoken Hindi; good digital documentation skills.
• Experience in designing/conducting physical experiments, hands-on activities, use of lab instruments.
• 1 year experience in writing textbook chapters, or making learning modules for grades 8-12 in ed-tech.

Pay and Tenure

The consolidated monthly remuneration is Rs 50,000 to 90,000 per month depending on the qualification and experience of the candidate. House Rent Allowance per month (If applicable) is NA. The duration of the appointment is 1 Year.

IIT Gandhinagar Project Associate II (Biology) Job Description

Main responsibilities include, though not limited to:

• Create high-quality rigorous hands-on Life Science/Biology/bio science modules for grades 6-12 Biology and update/organise the resource repository.
• Adapt-make-test-optimise the activities/ models/prototypes.
• Documentations of manuals, chapters, worksheets, presentations, videos, articles.
• Convert relevant activity for models ready to use in schools with product specifications.
• Coordinate and conduct the testing of content in schools.
